The Virtual Meet & Greet
Below is the copy for the virtual Meet & Greet. Edit the manuscript is as you please to make it fit for your practice. When making the Meet & Greet video pay attention to good lighting and sound. Be sure your background isn’t too busy. If you’re not up-to-speed with videotaping, sound, light, and set design, you might want to consider hiring a video crew to tape this for you. Remember, a big part of treatment acceptance is Standard of Caring®. Your video will be one of the first impressions you’ll make with new patients. Make it a good one and send the message patients will be well-cared for. A good video will start this process!
My best,
Dr. Paul Homoly
Hello, I’m Dr. Paul Homoly. Welcome to our practice. I hope you enjoy this video. I made it for two reasons. First, I want you to know what I look like. At your first appointment, my team and I will all be wearing face masks. You won’t be able to see my face. We ask all our patients to wear masks also, so thanks in advance for wearing one. The other reason for this video is the coronavirus pandemic has changed health care and the dental treatment process. I’m sure you’re aware of this. I want to give you an idea of what to expect during your first visit. To start, you and I will talk about any emergency concerns you have. If you’re in pain or have other urgent concerns, we’ll do our best to take care of it. If you don’t have emergency concerns, I recommend we start your care with a complete examination. During your exam, I will look for all dental conditions that could worsen or contribute to a preexisting medical condition. As you probably know, people with preexisting medical conditions are more susceptible to coronavirus complications. After the exam, I’ll reveal all your conditions and recommend complete care. Now, there may be some conditions you aren’t concerned about. Whether you choose to treat them is your choice. But you see, I don’t have a choice. I have the responsibility of recommending complete care. How you proceed with treatment is always your choice. For those conditions you choose to treat, I’ll recommend we treat them in the fewest number of appointments to reduce your COVID-19 risks. So again, welcome to our practice. I assure you we put our patient’s safety and comfort first. We’ll take great care of you. I’ll see you soon.
